I never expected I would be meeting Tony Robbins, mainly because there aren’t a lot of opportunities for that to ever happen! The only time I would even think about meeting Tony Robbins would be if I were to attend one of his World-renowned events.
Even then, it would be a difficult thing to do, let alone getting a photo with him considering the thousands of people that are also in attendance…. But it happened! And I didn’t have to pay a penny for the opportunity (in fact, I was “paid” for it). Keep reading to find out how.
Who is Tony Robbins?
Before I dive into this story, I wanted to make a short introduction to who Tony Robbins (aka: Anthony Robbins) is. If you already know, feel free to skip ahead to the next section!
Tony Robbins is one of the biggest names in the Personal Development & Life Coaching industry. He first got started in the industry working for the famous motivational speaker, Jim Rohn, at the age of 17. Tony has been running seminars and events since 1983.
But Tony is not just a life coach “guru”. In fact, he even has a documentary appropriately titled “I Am Not Your Guru”. Tony is also a huge philanthropist. Tony has worked closely with the foundation “Feeding America” and has donated profits from his books, along with personal donations to help provide more than 100 million meals to children, families and seniors in need.(1)
How I Was Introduced To His Training
I first discovered Tony when I was about 20 years old, the same time I was learning all about entrepreneurship. I became deeply passionate about personal development, so naturally I started doing my research on who was the best to learn from. It wasn’t long before I continually saw Tony’s name on books, courses, events, etc…
The first book I read (well, listened to) was “Awaken The Giant Within”. I’ve since purchased and the majority of his books. As of writing this post, I would have to say my favorite so far would be “Unshakeable: Your Financial Freedom Playbook”.
But enough about how I found Tony… Let’s get to the good stuff!
How I Met Tony Robbins in Person
As I said at the top of this article, the opportunity to meet Tony Robbins was completely unexpected.
This experience started thanks to affiliate marketing! I am an active affiliate promoter for one of Tony’s newest programs, the Knowledge Business Blueprint.
May 2019 is when the launch for the Knowledge Business Blueprint was happening. As a huge Tony Robbins fan, I knew this course was going to be valuable, so I made sure that as an affiliate, I was going to go all out. I put 100% of my faith into them.
And boy am I glad I did.
About a week after the initial launch, Dean announced that they would be hosting an “Affiliate Appreciation” party in August, and Tony Robbins was going to be there!!
Only the top affiliates would be invited to the event in Vegas (about 100), and I was one of them!
Meeting Tony was awesome. Naturally, everyone there wanted a photo with him, so there wasn’t much time to chat, but I was able to thank him for his work (as everyone probably has), and also get to see how truly genuine of a guy he is.
Tony was surrounded by people all trying to speak with him and get a photo, yet he was always attentive and in the moment with the person who was “next” to meet and get a photo with him.
Oh yeah, Tony is also a massive man if you’ve never seen him up close!!
Even though my experience meeting Tony Robbins lasted about 30 seconds, I have to say it was one of the cooler experiences I’ve had at this point in my life.
Not only was I able to meet Tony, but I also had the chance to speak with Dean Graziosi (co-creator of Knowledge Business Blueprint and best selling author of “Millionaire Success Habits”) and Russell Brunson (CEO of ClickFunnels™ and best selling author of “DotCom Secrets” & “Expert Secrets“).
Furthermore, in attendance at the event was other high-level entrepreneurs, including: Lewis Howes, John Lee Dumas, Billy Gene, Jenna Kutcher, and others!
I would have never had this opportunity if it weren’t for learning the skills I have now in the Affiliate Marketing industry. A lot of people treat affiliate marketing like a hobby, but I’m here to say that it can become a whole lot more if you put in the time and effort. Hell, about a year prior to this event, I was still working in retail.
